Several countries across the world, including India, are reforming their competition frameworks to suit the needs of digital markets. These proposed changes are being considered due to certain policy and regulatory gaps observed by policymakers. The working paper discusses the existence and extent of these gaps in the Indian context and makes preliminary observations for the way forward. The paper is part of The Dialogue’s ‘Digital Competition Research Series’ where we routinely analyse the intersection of competition law and policy with the Indian technology landscape.
