The Dialogue recently responded to the U.K.’s Call for Evidence on the lawful basis for web scraping to train generative AI models. Below, we share our key observations, highlighting two substantial comments extracted from the Call for Evidence:
- In this document, we address the question of whether our organization agrees with the analysis presented in the Call for Evidence.
- Additionally, we, as an organization, evaluate the analysis presented in the Call for Evidence, specifically examining whether the legitimate interests test could meet satisfaction with the implementation of technical and organizational measures to restrict the use of the Gen AI model.
