Ranjeet Rane

Ranjeet Rane is a public policy professional with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of technology, regulation, and financial innovation. As Partner at The Dialogue, he will lead the Fintech and Sustainable Finance verticals, drawing on his deep expertise in banking regulation, emerging technologies, and data governance to shape forward-looking public policy. Prior to this role, Ranjeet served as Head of Research at the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), where he led technology policy research initiatives across domains such as Generative AI, green finance, digital payments, and consumer protection. He has worked extensively with banking institutions, fintechs, regulatory bodies, and law enforcement agencies to conceptualize and implement high-impact projects such as an alternate-data credit underwriting system for gig workers, and a generative AI-enabled consumer grievance redressal platform for public sector banks.

During his tenure at the Reserve Bank Information Technology (ReBIT, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India) he worked on key policy advisories on cyber security, data localization, and consumer protection. Ranjeet also brings policy communication and stakeholder engagement experience from Edelman. He has been associated with The Dialogue since its founding days, and contributed in setting up our Tech Policy practice. Ranjeet is an alum of the University of Oxford’s Public Policy and Economics programme and holds postgraduate degrees in Political Science and Public Policy. A regular contributor to national dailies and speaker at public forums, he is also pursuing a PhD at Symbiosis International University in climate risk communication. Outside of work, he is an amateur birder and collector of vintage memorabilia.
