Jameela Sahiba leads The Dialogue’s work on Artificial Intelligence and manages the Secretariat for the Coalition for Responsible Evolution of AI (CoRE-AI). She also spearheads the organization’s engagement with Parliamentarians and government stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and impactful policy outcomes.

A law graduate from Symbiosis Law School, Pune (Batch of 2017), Jameela previously served as Chief of Staff to Dr. Amar Patnaik, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha). This role provided her with invaluable experience navigating the complexities of policy and legislation, fostering a nuanced understanding of the policymaking process and building relationships with a diverse range of legislators.

With over 5.5 years of experience in the policy ecosystem, Jameela possesses a unique blend of legal expertise and a passion for driving legislative change. Her work focuses on addressing the evolving challenges of emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, and ensuring its responsible and beneficial integration into society. She is committed to fostering dialogue and developing policies that promote ethical and impactful AI advancements.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Jameela is an avid reader and writer. Her op-eds on critical policy issues demonstrate her commitment to contributing to public discourse and shaping informed policy decisions.
