Prof Viswanath (Vishy) Pingali, a faculty member in the economics area at IIM Ahmedabad, actively engages in research with a primary focus on competition law, digital markets, and public health. He has contributed to esteemed national and international journals with the publication of his research articles.
Within the IIMA community, he teaches courses on microeconomics, game theory, and behavioural economics. In addition, he provides consultation services to various corporations and law firms, addressing issues related to competition and economics.
Possessing a Master’s in quantitative economics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta, and a PhD from Northwestern University, USA, Prof Pingali brings a wealth of academic expertise to the role of Senior Fellow – Economics at The Dialogue. His efforts specifically emphasize delivering specialized knowledge, particularly in the domains of competition law and policy.
