Tabrez Ahmad is the Group Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) at Dell Technologies and an esteemed professional with over 20 years of experience in legal practice, public policy, and business strategy. His career spans leadership roles such as Director of Corporate Affairs at eBay India, Secretary General of the Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), and Director of Intellectual Property at Microsoft Corporation. He has also contributed significantly at FICCI, driving initiatives in technology, intellectual property, and policy advocacy.
Tabrez has been instrumental in shaping key policies such as the IT Act, data protection frameworks, national telecom policies, and innovation strategies. He has collaborated with regulators, enforcement agencies, and global institutions like WHO, WIPO, and UNIDO to align policies with business objectives while fostering growth and compliance.
A thought leader in public policy, Tabrez has held prominent positions in industry bodies, including Chair of Public Policy at the Indian National Bar Association and Chair of IPR Committees at AMCHAM and MAIT. He holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from George Washington University, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, and an MCA from Bharat University.
